    Hi All

I have a problems with Roms not working with GT-P5100 galaxy tab 2 10.1.

No problem installing, i do have a sim card with only data downloads and works on original rom but not on majority of the roms out there.

    Hi Max,

No one else knows these devices better than you, sooo..

I may have met my match today in the Tab 2 (SPH-P500 Sprint. 4G) running Android 4.0.4.

Though Odin and Heimdall both push recovery.img to the device, the Tab will absolutely not enter CWM recovery. The blue “Recovery Booting” appears but then disappears within a second – regardless of the duration or order of pressing Power and Volume Up. I have tried with and without the SD card installed — no difference.

Also, it seems impossible to reset the Tab to factory settings. After restarting, a hard reset is the only thing that will bring it back up. When it reboots, all of my settings and apps seem intact.

After days of work with no results, I would really appreciate any help! My next step would be to Sprint where I’ll hope the tech won’t care my Flash Counter is so high.

    Baseband version is: P500VPLI6
    Kernel: 3.0.8-112677se.infra@SEP-62 #1
    Build: IMM7D.P500VPALI6
    HW version: P500.05

    Thank you,

    Robert

  6. Robert says:

    Hi Kyree,

What hardware version is your Tab 2 running? A number of us are on P500.05 and cannot root. This HW version appears bulletproof for now.

    Best,

    Robert
