Galaxy Task ROM version 14 is out for rooted Galaxy Tab 10.1 users. I think this is the best ROM for the Tab 10.1 right now couple with Pershoot’s kernel. Until we have a stable ICS with camera working, this is probably the recommended custom ROM.

I got a quadrant score of 3163, that’s insane!
idk if it’s my tab’s problem or not, once i flashed to thisrom, the rotation doesn’t work
That just happened to me to at first it was working then stopped.
The Kernel that he posted was the incorrect Kernel for this ROM. It was for 3.1 and subsequently crashed your autorotate.

And Download that to the root of your tablet… and install it from zip.

Same here. i have to reboot or use the orientation control app from the market.
yeah that happened to mine too as soon as I ran the overclock zip file. it worked at first then failed. games that require the accelerometer do not work, i tried on raging thunder 2.
Just reflash the kernal, fixed it for me.

Me too but i found the new pershoot kernel and it fixed it. Now this rom and kernel work flawlessly.

Just installed this ROM, after reboot I’m unable to open the browser. It crashes.
Did a couple of reboot the browser wont open.

Clear your Cache Partition in Clockwork Mod.

I did, you need to clean the partion on Application, chose browser, and then you need to do this….clean cache memory…..that’s all. It works good after that.

Very fast hiting close to 3000 but auto rotation is not working. need to use orientation switch.

love the overclocking on v14, but i was running v13 slim and everything seemed better. Auto rotation worked, better keyboards and browser. The only problem was no overclocking. I just thought updates were supposed to make things better.
Looked great at first, but the no overclocking was killing me. Switched back to Task 9 for now.
works great! You may have to wipe browser data in Titanium to fix browser issues.

I can’t download the Rom. The connection to the server keeps getting reset. If i try to download on my Tab it always fails. Any ideas?

I installed this ROM but the performance is not as good as the ICS 4.0.3 (it’s the camera which I miss there).
For me, when i isntalled the ROM. the maket is gone…..!!! what can i do, to have it back.?
It’s called Play Store now. And it’s not working for me in this rom.
Ok now it’s working. I managed to make it work by deleting the Play Store cache and reinstalling the Play Store from Aptoide.
Task rom has market, but if you installed ics you need to install google apps.
Have we figured out how to fix this auto rotation problem yet?
Why do all first release of ROM do not support camera?
Is it so hard to get it working or developers just think its low prio?

The acceloration works fine. But it says no connection when I go to the market, or in the youtube app. Any idea?

You have to dowload the kernel and flash it as well, then you can overclock to 1400 using setcpu

No, you install the rom, then when thatis done and set up you get back into recovery and flash the kernel. the kernel download is on this page right under the rom download link.
I have a rooted Galaxy tab 8.9, would this rom work on it?
I would think so, i think it works for 10.1 wifi and 3g so why not. Just make a nandroid backup and give her a whirl.

On this rom the new google play store won’t work. I tried clearing data that didn’t work. I uninstalled updates it erased the market all together. Then i installed the the newest play store apk and it didn’t work. Any Ideas or known fixes
I found a way to make it work. Install Aptoide Repos, then install Aptoide (main app), after this go to the “update” tab (within aptoide) then “uninstall” the Play Store. When you do this a prompt will tell you that the default app will be left in the device instead. Accept prompt, then open Market again (it will be named “Market” again). The Market will atempt to upgrade to Play Store again, with the difference that this time it won’t crash at all. Enjoy!

I got mine to work just by uninstalling updates and then opening the market again. then it did the update again and everything worked fine.

Is it just me or is there like a MASSIVE delay on the auto-rotate (or maybe I just got used to how smooth ICS was/ is)

Everything works fine except for the battery life. I clear the stats then restart after it autoshutdown with 30 - 40% and fully rechrge but still only getting 2 - 4 hrs. What’s the secret???
Its work nice however android market wont open, can anyone help me fix it ??
